‘The Works’ application deadline is Friday

The Works is the ultimate Knoxville-based start-up accelerator program tailored for early stage software technology and tech-enabled companies.

Entrepreneurs in East Tennessee have until midnight on Friday, April 12 to apply for the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center (KEC)’s “The Works” accelerator program. It is a 12-week intensive program designed to provide start-ups with unparalleled opportunities for growth, mentorship, and networking.  The accelerator program equips entrepreneurs with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s competitive market landscape.

The program starts on June 12, and will meet each Wednesday from 2-5 p.m. It offers participants face-to-face interactions with industry experts, facilitators, and mentors. Attendees will also be able to engage in dynamic workshops, panel discussions, and field trips, providing invaluable insights into various aspects of entrepreneurship.

“The Works” is partnering with leading companies in the region, including Cirrus Aircraft and Clayton Homes, which will offer guided tours of their headquarters, allowing participants to interact with top-tier leadership and gain firsthand knowledge in customer experience, growth strategies, innovation, and leadership development.

The event concludes with a Demo Day, which will give each entrepreneur a platform to pitch their start-up to the community.

In addition to those benefits, “The Works” will be documented by Big Slate Media, featuring exclusive interviews and footage of the accelerator journey. Carrasco Trump will provide one hour of experienced legal counsel to assist companies in navigating the legal complexities of formation, financing, and workforce development.

Applications close at midnight on Friday, April 12. The selected participants will be notified by Wednesday, April 17, and the public will be informed by Tuesday, April 30.

Since its inception in 2013, KEC has supported numerous start-ups across various industries, with participants raising more than $150 million in private capital. Ranging from medical data technology to retail Point of Sale integration, KEC has played a pivotal role in nurturing entrepreneurial talent and fostering innovation within the community.

You can apply through the KEC website.
