Katelyn is a business journalist with six years of experience working in newsrooms in Tennessee (WBIR) and Arizona (KPNX). Throughout her career, she has received recognition from organizations like Hearst, NATAS, SPJ, and BEA for her digital and television reporting. She enjoys sharing multimedia content, especially when it highlights the achievements of others.
Katelyn joined the teknovation.biz team as Assistant Editor in the fall of 2023, later taking over as Managing Editor after the retirement of the Founding Editor, Tom Ballard, in December 2025.
Outside of work, Katelyn enjoys staying active by trying every sport under the sun – from playing on a One Knox rec soccer team and CrossFit, to golf, pickleball, and hiking. She also loves spending time with her husband, Chase, and their two dogs, Benji and Ada. For the past five years, Katelyn has been a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee, which has been one of the most rewarding experiences in her life.
