
Southeast Shoutouts | Knoxville’s AtWork announces new franchised locations in the Upstate of South Carolina
The SCbio Annual Conference begins on Tuesday with an opening reception and continues through February 20.
From Greenville and Spartanburg, SC:
A Knoxville-based company that has more than 100 locations in 30 states is expanding to two Upstate South Carolina communities, according to a report in the Upstate Business Journal. For more than 30 years, AtWork has helped entrepreneurs realize their dreams of business ownership and financial freedom. The company says its franchisees are one of the largest providers of contingent and permanent workforce solutions in the country.
Formed in 1986 by John Hall and franchising since 1992, the has built profitable staffing franchises under one of the industry’s most recognizable brands. Hall first grew the company to 11 offices across East Tennessee and opened the first franchise location in Decatur, AL.
The Greenville storefront is expected to open April 25, with the date for the Spartanburg location still to be determined. The franchise owner, Jason Grant, is an alumnus of Furman University and the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business.

Now in its seventh year, ConnectWise’s PitchIT has attracted more than 150 participants, with this year’s competition set to be the largest yet. Their progress is evaluated by industry-leading judges, vendors, and podcasters across various MSP communities. Three finalists are chosen and then paired with a dedicated coach to refine their pitch before presenting it live at IT Nation Connect 2025, taking place in Orlando, FL in November.
