Here are the latest cancellations of events of interest to our readers

Here are the latest postponements that have been announced that relate to entrepreneurs and innovators.  If you are a reader and have revised plans, feel free  to email them to me at tballard@pyapc.com.

Here’s the list that updates previous articles (March 10March 12March 13, and March 16):

  • Jim Biggs, Executive Director of the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center, says all of its upcoming events over the next few weeks have been postponed or cancelled. In addition, the facility is closing to the public for now. “(We) didn’t come to this lightly, but (it) seems increasingly clear it’s the right thing to do at this point,” Biggs said in an email.
  • The University of Tennessee Research Foundation’s “Start-up Showcase,” set for April 8, is being postponed to a later date, according to Vice President Maha Krishnamurthy.
  • Pellissippi State Community College’s “Media Technologies Forum,” scheduled for April 24, is cancelled with the possibility of rescheduling it for Fall Semester.
  • All of the weekly (Friday mornings at 7:30 a.m.) meetings of the East Tennessee Economic Council are cancelled through April 10.

On an optimistic and positive note, Launch Tennessee has announced the availability of early bird discounted tickets for its late August “36|86 Entrepreneurship Festival.” The statewide organization notes that, “If circumstances are such that we must postpone ’36|86 Festival,’ all registrants will have the option to transfer the registration to the new date or receive a full refund.”
