WalletHub ranks large cities as best cities for starting a business
Tennessee has two on the list while Florida places six in the top 10.
About a week ago, we ran an analysis from personal financial website WalletHub that ranked 1,334 small cities in terms of the best places to start a business. That list (see post here) had 14 cities in Tennessee ranked.
Now, WalletHub is out with its rankings of the 100 large cities, and the Volunteer State has two listed. The highest ranked is Nashville (#32), while Memphis placed #88. Neither Chattanooga nor Knoxville cracked the top 100 listing.
Perhaps not so surprising, Florida captured six of the top 10 spots. Orlando (#1), Tampa (#2), Jacksonville (#4), and Miami (#5) were top Sunshine State places to start a business. Only Austin, TX at #3 was not obviously in Florida. St. Petersburg (#6) and Hialeah (#10) were the other cities in Florida that cracked the top 10.
North Carolina was well-represented, placing five on the list. Durham (#12) and Charlotte (#13) were the highest ranked.
