USPTO issues patent to Erica Grant for Quantum Random Number Generator Lock

She did not say it happened on her birthday, as was the case with Lia Winter’s announcement last week, but Erica Grant of Quantum Lock Technologies LLC was as happy as Winter with the announcement of her initial patent.

“After two years of hard work, my Quantum Lock tech is officially patented through USPTO,” she wrote in a LinkedIn post. “My first patented invention is the Quantum Random Number Generator Lock. Excited to see where this takes Quantum Lock Technologies. I am so grateful for Stephen Adams at Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. for making this possible.”

The date of issuance was October 6, and the patent number is 10,797,872.

Grant, whose start-up has been spotlighted in numerous articles in teknovation.biz, was recently announced as one of the five participating companies in Cohort 4 of the “Innovation Crossroads” program operated by Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She also captured the “Innov865 Crowd Favorite” prize and $3,000 during Knoxville’s recent “Startup Day.”
