Ty Briggs shares his eye-opening journey in launching Veritas Consulting
Briggs credits the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center and the Tennessee Small Business Development Center for helping him turn his idea into reality.
For years, Ty Briggs lived the life of a scientist — methodical, analytical, and firmly rooted in the world of data and research. But after a personal awakening and a season of soul-searching, he left the Geoscience field for a different sort of calling.
We first met with Briggs at the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center at the genesis of his entrepreneurial journey. At the time, he was a full-time Minister at the Knoxville Church and was working toward opening a service-based wellness business.
It has been about six months since then, and Briggs has officially opened his Veritas Consulting LLC practice, which is the first PSYCH-K facilitator in East Tennessee.
PSYCH-K is a process that allows people to escape their subconscious limiting beliefs. It’s something Briggs benefited from himself, and he hopes to help others find the same freedom through the same method.
He said it all dated back to his time in a coastal studies lab in South Florida. At the time, he was also facing some autoimmune issues and the lingering dissatisfaction of being in a turbulent dating relationship.
“I used to be so focused on facts and figures until I became an observant Christian. It really opened my mind to the idea that there’s more than just the quantitative,” he said.
That shift in mindset started Briggs down a deeply personal and transformative journey. He attended a seminar led by Dr. Bruce Lipton (Cell Biologist) and Margaret Horton (Cognitive Behavior Therapist), where he learned about PSYCH- K.
Briggs said he booked a one-on-one session in an act of desperation, and the tangible and almost immediate results shocked him.
“After my first PSYCH-K session, in a matter of minutes, I was able to let go of negative beliefs that I had carried around since I was a child. It enhanced my relationship with God, and my life began to improve,” he recalled. “That was the beginning of what I now do full-time.”
By definition, PSYCH-K helps people to consciously and subconsciously re-perceive themselves, their circumstances, and their potential.
It’s ultimately what empowered Briggs to step into the Ministry at Knoxville Church and help support others through the PSYCH-K process.
“I was deeply unhappy when PSYCH-K found me,” he said. “This tool helped me realize I didn’t have to live that way. It gave me peace of mind, courage, and strength.”
Today, Briggs offers in-person and virtual PSYCH-K sessions in Knoxville.
But launching the business didn’t happen in a vacuum. Briggs credits the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center and the Tennessee Small Business Development Center for helping him turn his idea into reality. Through both these organizations, he received feedback on his business model, marketing, and operational strategy.
Now, he feels equipped to help fellow entrepreneurs transform worry and anxiety about their business or start-up into a “state of peace and a mindset of prosperity.”
