  • The East Tennessee Development District in Alcoa will receive a $400,000 grant to respond to the coronavirus pandemic by hiring two new staffers to provide critical technical assistance resources for local governments in the district’s 16-county region.
  • The Upper Cumberland Development District in Cookeville will also receive $400,000 to hire additional staff and invest in technology to enhance the economic development efforts of the region’s communities.
