Techstars reported to be launching $100 million fundraising effort

Start-up accelerator Techstars, which is conducting an assessment of the Knoxville area innovation ecosystem, is kicking-off a campaign to raise $100 million for investment in its cohort companies next year, according to this report in a Colorado newspaper.

The article cites filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and notes that the Boulder-based accelerator has not yet received any investment in the venture fund. The Techstars organization runs multiple industry and geographically specific accelerator programs across the world.
