Slipbot wins Panoramic Ventures’ $120,000 “Startup Showdown”

The winner of Panoramic Ventures’ “Startup Showdown” during Wednesday’s “3686 Festival” in Nashville was Slipbot. The Miami-based company bested four other competitors to win the $120,000 investment, possibly the largest prize we have seen for the winner of a pitch event.

Slipbot, founded by Isaac Hicks who is pictured here with the judges, allows users to drastically improve the efficiency of their document management without making any changes to their current software systems or workflow.

Other competitors were:

  • Arvo, a Cookeville-based company that provides a platform for visual documentation for teams and their customers without the need for coding and design skills; and
  • Care Sherpa, a Nashville-based start-up that guides healthcare providers to increased volumes and predictive revenue growth – managing the patient lead pipeline with highly personalized consumer follow up and patient support services.
  • Daba, co-founded by two individuals – one based in Atlanta and the other in Miami – whose start-up provides a simple app to access investment strategies and build wealth by investing in Africa’s best private and public market opportunities; and
  • Venu, based in Austin, is a software-as-a-service solution marketplace connecting musicians with bars and restaurants.
