Second annual “Women in Tech Expo” announced for September 19
The keynote speaker is Shelmina Babai Abjil whose topic is "Scale New Heights."
The Knoxville Technology Council‘s Women in Tech group is hosting the second annual “Women in Tech Expo: Grow Better Together!” The all-day event will be held September 19 at the Knoxville Convention Center, starting at 9 a.m. EDT.
“Join a diverse group of talented women and invest in your personal and professional growth with a variety of motivating workshops, networking, keynote presentation, and more,” the email announcing the event reads.
Keynote speaker is Shelmina Babai Abjil whose topic is “Scale New Heights.” She is a TEDx speaker, board member, former Vice President at IBM, and an angel investor. Abjil started her career as a software engineer and then moved into sales, leading global teams to deliver more than $1 billion in annual revenues and serving as a key decision-maker in hiring and promoting hundreds of professionals.
