SBA opens solicitation to deliver entrepreneurship training to women veterans

A conference call is scheduled for this Tuesday to discuss the program.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced that non-profit organizations and private sector firms are now eligible to compete for funding of up to $300,000 to deliver entrepreneurship training to women veterans. The application period continues through March 21, 2024.

Up to six grantees will be awarded $300,000 in total funding to participate in the “Women Veteran Entrepreneurship Training Program” (SB-OVWV-24-001) with grants from the SBA’s Office of Veterans Business Development. Awards will be made for a base project period of 12 months, with three option periods of 12 months each. These funds will be used to educate women veterans who intend to pursue or are already engaged in business ownership.

Ahead of submitting applications, SBA’s Office of Veterans Business Development will host a conference call on February 27 at 2 p.m. EST to answer questions related to the Women Veteran Entrepreneurship Training Program grant announcement. The conference call can be accessed via Microsoft Teams at this link.
