RueData announces its headquarters will be in Chattanooga
The decision follows its participation in the CO.LAB Sustainable Mobility Accelerator.
Sebastian Baquero, RueData’s Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, has announced that the company has relocated its headquarters to Chattanooga.
As described in this teknovation.biz article from last December, the company was launched in Colombia, the native country of its two Co-Founders, moved to Mexico City in 2019, and now has aspirations to enter the U.S. market with its proprietary data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) solution.
The announcement was contained in an article in Business Trends, the newsletter of the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. In that article, Baquero explains how he even learned about Chattanooga and The Company Lab’s (CO.LAB) strong focus on Sustainable Mobility.
He was in Las Vegas for a conference and met Tasia Malakasis, CO.LAB’s Chief Executive Officer, who told him about her newest project: a sustainable mobility accelerator program, perfect for his then-burgeoning company.
“I hadn’t ever even heard of Chattanooga before,” Baquero said with a laugh. “But when I came here, I saw there was a lot of support here. I love the community, and I see how many groups are working together to make things happen in a lot of ways. It just made sense.”
Through the CO.LAB 12-week accelerator program which focuses on high-tech and scalable start-ups in collaboration with gener8tor, Baquero saw the value of Chattanooga’s location as a hub of support surrounded by some of the region’s largest cities and companies.
Today, RueData assists fleets for divisions of major companies like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and Heineken. Any fleet with 100 or more vehicles can see benefits, on average within three to six months, from utilizing RueData’s user-friendly technology, Baquero said.
