Roane State reopens maker space in Crossville with certain restrictions

The headline said it all – “The Maker Space Is Back in Business.”

It was part of an email this week from Roane State Community College’s Crossville campus announcing that the facility is part of the Cumberland Business Incubator is open with certain restrictions. They include:

  • A maximum of five people in the maker space at all times, including volunteers on duty.
  • Availability is by appointment only with reservations made by calling 931/456-4910.
  • Prior to each visit, those using the space must submit a screening form that can be found at this link.
  • Users must wear a mask and practice social distancing of at least six feet.

The announcement also noted that Roane State is only accepting cash and checks for memberships to use the maker space. Those go for $20 a month or $5 a day.
