Portal Innovations holding event celebrating opening of Atlanta location
Portal Innovations LLC, the Chicago-based venture development engine that invests what it calls “crafted capital” to fuel seed stage life sciences companies, is holding a grand opening for its new Atlanta location this Thursday.
We first reported these plans in this March teknovation.biz article when Brian Yoor, Chairman and Operating Partner at Portal Innovations, spoke as part of an infrastructure panel during “LSTCON,” Life Science Tennessee’s annual conference. Portal provides cash, fully-equipped wet lab and office space, and management expertise to turn breakthroughs into businesses. The recently launched company notes that “Atlanta, like Chicago, possesses all of the academic and medical research institutions, resources, civic leadership and talent necessary to establish a world-class life sciences innovation hub, where companies can start up and scale. Portal’s role in Atlanta’s emerging life sciences ecosystem is to build a world class early-stage biotech portfolio while bringing together the entire ecosystem to allow these companies to thrive and scale locally.”
