News Roundup: Building momentum, events, and markets

Topping the list is RegScale being named 'Best Compliance Solution' by SC Media Awards.

RegScale announced it has been named the 2024 SC Media Award winner for Best Compliance Solution. This recognition highlights RegScale’s innovative approach to automating risk and compliance management, reinforcing its position as an industry leader.

“Winning the SC Media Award for Best Compliance Solution further demonstrates the exceptional value our platform delivers,” said Travis Howerton, the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of RegScale. “As organizations face an increasingly complex regulatory landscape, RegScale’s commitment to automation and operational excellence is more important than ever. This award validates our efforts to help enterprises navigate compliance challenges easily and efficiently.”

RegScale’s momentum continues to build, driven by significant customer growth and key recognitions, certifications, and partnerships. The company has seen its customer base expand by over 200 percent in the past year, with more than 400,000 downloads of its Community Edition. This growth highlights RegScale’s impact in streamlining compliance and enhancing risk management across organizations and industries.

“RegScale’s addition to the CSA STAR Registry marks a new standard in cloud security and compliance,” said Jim Reavis, Co-Founder and CEO of the CSA. “This step underscores the importance of automating evidence collection across multiple frameworks. Adopting Compliance as Code propels CSA and the industries it serves from reactive, report-driven processes to proactive, real-time compliance. As a leader in cloud security, RegScale is driving this shift, helping organizations adopt more efficient and effective compliance strategies.”

Howerton added, “The momentum we’re seeing is a direct result of our relentless focus on innovation and customer success. As we expand and forge new partnerships, our dedication to transforming compliance management continues to grow. We’re thrilled about the future and eager to keep evolving our solutions to address the changing needs of our customers.”

Endeavor Summit returns for young professionals

On October 3, the Knoxville Chamber alongside Bank of America will host the area’s largest gathering of young professionals and emerging leaders from across the region at the 2024 Endeavor Summit.

Retaining young professionals is crucial for a community’s economic growth, as they bring fresh ideas, innovation, and a dynamic workforce that can adapt to changing market demands. Additionally, their engagement fosters a vibrant cultural and social landscape, making the community more attractive for businesses and families.

This year’s keynote features a panel of young leaders from the Knoxville area. Leaders from BESCO, United Way of Greater Knoxville, Pannell Construction, and Pier Group will share advice on building a career, challenges they have faced, lessons they have learned, and the importance of doing it all in Knoxville.

Breakout sessions will focus on professional development including communicating across generations and conflict management, and on community engagement including evaluating Knoxville’s current position in the talent and economic development markets. Loud Tables – a signature breakout session featuring speed interactions – will focus on Knoxville living, personal finance, and connection opportunities.

During each session break, Lifetime Products will give away door prizes, including pickleball sets and coolers, to encourage young professionals to explore Knoxville’s outdoor amenities. The day’s events end with a giveaway where two local nonprofits –East Tennessee Epilepsy Foundation and Royal Youth Dance – will receive a portion of ticket sales.
