New private equity firm Fire Pit Capital launched from Athens, GA base
Just a day after Monday’s announcement that Panoramic Ventures had formed in Atlanta with a goal of creating a $300 million fund, another announcement came a day later from 70 miles east of Georgia’s capital city. The new venture, based in Athens, is named Fire Pit Capital.
Information about the firm, such as the names of those involved, is limited, but the main webpage says that “Fire Pit Capital was formed by private equity veterans and family offices to invest in small businesses located in the Southeast and hold them for the long term. We are a private equity firm with a long history of buying and operating middle market businesses.”
