New $25 million fund focused on investments in healthcare innovations in Western NC

Mission Health, an Asheville, NC health system acquired last year by HCA Healthcare, has launched a new $25 million innovation fund to support healthcare-related businesses in Western North Carolina. Appropriately named the HCA Healthcare Mission Fund, the initiative will invest in local companies working to improve the quality, cost or efficiency of healthcare in the region.

“Western North Carolina is an incubator for innovation and ideas that further quality and efficiency in healthcare,” said Greg Lowe, President of HCA Healthcare’s North Carolina Division. “We are grateful for the establishment of the HCA Healthcare Mission Fund to help these important businesses continue to thrive and make an impact in the community.”

There are more details provided in this news release from HCA Mission Health.
