Needing capital for your company? Learn tips from U.S. SEC experts

University of Tennessee College of Law and SEC are bringing together experts to unpack the capital landscape, fundraising mechanisms, and necessary regulatory compliance when it comes to small businesses.

121 Tech Hub in downtown Knoxville will open its doors to entrepreneurs, innovators, and small business owners this Monday afternoon for a candid conversation about capital. You can register to attend here.

The session titled “Small Business Capital Formation” is coordinated by the University of Tennessee, Winston College of Law’s Clayton Center for Entrepreneurial Law, and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Notable remarks will be made by Pablo Eschevetrri and T.J. Collins of the SEC’s Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation, to help current or aspiring entrepreneurs and investors navigate the capital market.

The doors open to the event at 3:30 p.m., with introductions beginning promptly at 4:00 p.m.

The session will explore practical pathways for raising and deploying capital, including private offerings, venture financing, crowdfunding opportunities, and how SEC policies impact both emerging businesses and investment strategies.
