Need funding for your start up? Consider applying to these pitch competitions now
By Shannon Smith, Teknovation Assistant Editor, PYA
Money makes the world go ‘round, doesn’t it? No one knows that sentiment more than people trying to start a new business. Lucky for start-ups in our area, there are lots of pitch competitions ready to fund your next idea.
New Orleans-based start-up resource newsletter Southern Startup Report released a list earlier this month of pitch competition and accelerator application deadlines. The ones we’re sharing here have rolling applications, meaning they’re always accepting good ideas.
Note that as you browse these options, some have specific requirements based on location, type of business or owner, or money you’ve already raised. Options open to start-ups based anywhere in the USA are labeled as such.
You won’t qualify for all the funding on this list, but we all know every little bit helps.
