NDIA cites Chattanooga, Hamilton County as national leader in digital inclusion
The City of Chattanooga and Hamilton County together have been named as a national leader in digital inclusion work.
As noted in this news release from The Enterprise Center (EC News Release), the National Digital Inclusion Alliance recognized 14 municipalities for promoting digital literacy and broadband access for underserved residents. Chattanooga and Hamilton County were named alongside much larger cities including New York, Washington, DC, and San Francisco. One key factor in Chattanooga and Hamilton County’s selection was the presence of EPB, the municipally-owned utility that makes up to 10 Gig internet speeds accessible to the 170,000 homes and businesses in its service area.
