Melissa Aldridge joins Village Capital as Director of Finance
Melissa Aldridge, the former resident of Ohio who lived in Knoxville before more recently relocating to Chattanooga, has a new gig. In a recent LinkedIn post, she announced that she has joined Village Capital as Director of Finance.
“I am honored to join this team to focus on impacting the most pressing issues of our day by investing in ideas that shape our world,” Aldridge wrote. “In some ways it feels like all roads in my career have been leading me here, and in other ways I feel like I have just stumbled into my dream job. I am bursting with energy to continue to do my part to reinvent the system to back the entrepreneurs of the future.”
Village Capital notes that 46 percent of its portfolio companies were founded by women.
