
Maryland Tech Council now has nearly $5 million for life sciences workforce development efforts
A couple of million here and another couple of a million a month later can begin to help make a difference!
DC Inno reports (subscription required) that the Maryland Tech Council has more than doubled its funding so far this year for life sciences workforce development, specifically focused on cancer research and treatment.
According to the article, the organization has secured $2.5 million for BioHub Maryland, its platform for job listings, career resources and information, and networking opportunities. Just a month ago, we reported in this post that the Council had secured $2.45 million from the federal government’s omnibus budget bill for fiscal year 2022. That new capital was also targeted at an expansion of BioHub Maryland
