Let Her Speak holding monthly wealth-building meet-ups for women

After a successful summer investing series for women hosted by Let Her Speak, the Knoxville resource for women entrepreneurs announced it’s launching a monthly finance series.
Women Building Wealth Meet-ups will be held on the third Tuesday of every month for Knoxville area women interested in taking more control over their personal finances and investing for themselves and their current or future businesses. They’re slated to start in September and are scheduled out through May 2024.
“This will be a monthly safe space for empowerment and education, that will allow each attendee to deep dive into a given topic, listen to experts, and understand how it applies to her personal situation,” Let Her Speak wrote in an Instagram post announcing the meet-ups. “The meet-ups will also include an online community all registered attendees will be invited to join. This online community will help us to stay connected, share information, post resources from each meet-up, and provide contact information for expert speakers.”
Wondering if these meet-ups are a right fit for you? You don’t have to run a business to learn financial power. These meet-ups are open to any woman who:
- Feels lost when people start talking about anything related to finances
- Is frustrated she was never taught anything about finances in school
- Wants to be in a space where it’s okay to talk about money openly
- Doesn’t want to feel judged for asking questions about finances
- Feels left behind when it comes to growing their personal wealth
- Understands finances and wants to help other women
So how will these sessions work?
Every three sessions will cover the same topic, with topics rotating every three months. Session 1 will be an introduction workshop on the topic, session 2 will feature a guest expert speaker or panel discussing the topic more in-depth and taking questions, and session 3 will be a workshop where attendees will apply what they’ve learned to their personal situation and put together tangible next steps.

- September – November: The what, who, why, and how of investing
- December – February: Taxes
- March – May: Real estate investing
