Learn about new “Fund Tennessee” program at a regional meeting near you
Tennessee is launching a $117 million program focused on small businesses and entrepreneurs. Learn about it at one of nine upcoming info sessions.
The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TN ECD) has announced nine regional meetings to unveil the new “Fund Tennessee” program from the Volunteer State’s allocation of the federal State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI).
TN ECD Commissioner Stuart McWhorter and Launch Tennessee Chief Executive Officer Lindsey Cox are scheduled to speak at each of the sessions to outline the capital initiative that will bring $117 million in new funding to support and expand an inclusive continuum of access to capital for small businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the state. A total of $70 million of the new funds will be managed by Launch Tennessee under the “InvestTN” brand, while TN ECD will manage the balance in a debt program known as “LendTN.”
Small business owners, entrepreneurs, chambers of commerce, banks, credit unions, nonprofits, economic development professionals, attorneys, accountants, investors, high-net-worth individuals, family offices, foundations or community foundations, trade associations, and local residents are encouraged to attend a session near them.
The series, scheduled to run about 90 minutes in each location, kicks off at 3:30 p.m. EST on February 27 at the Chattanooga Business Development Center, 100 Cherokee Boulevard, Unit #100. Other eastern Tennessee sites are:
- March 1 – 9:30 a.m. CST at the Upper Cumberland Development District, 1104 England Drive, Cookeville’
- March 7 – 9:30 a.m. EST at Lighthouse Knoxville, 6800 Baum Drive; and
- March 7 – 3:30 p.m. EST at MeadowView Conference Resort & Convention Center, 1901 Meadowview Parkway, Kingsport.
