LaunchTN names well-known Nashvillian as the organization’s COO

Launch Tennessee (LaunchTN), a public-private partnership on whose board I serve as an Emeritus member, has announced the appointment of well-known Nashvillian Van Tucker as Chief Operating Officer.

According to the announcement, she will work closely with Margaret Dolan, LaunchTN’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide strategic leadership, execute on the organization’s priorities and vision, and engage the team to continue to innovate and amplify the impact of the organization’s mission throughout the state.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Van to our team,” said Dolan. “She brings a record of entrepreneurial leadership, a passion for innovation, and a lifelong commitment to working with others who are fueled by purpose — traits that will energize and help lead our team into the next phase of growth.

Before joining LaunchTN, Tucker served as founding CEO of the Nashville Fashion Alliance, a trade organization that raised international awareness of the industry’s $6 billion economic impact. Prior to that, she was a co-founder of Avenue Bank where Tucker served as Chief Creative Officer, responsible for award-winning brand development. She advanced from a bank teller role to serving as Senior Vice President for Bank of America. Tucker also served as co-founder of CT Management Consulting, Senior Vice President of Regions/Morgan Keegan, and as a consulting strategist and executive coach.

Her community and professional roles include serving on a variety of boards of directors including Leadership Music, Americana Music Association, Nashville Symphony Orchestra, Music Health Alliance, The Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation, The Arts and Business Council, Owen Graduate School of Management Alumni Board, Adventure Science Center, Tennessee Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, Battleground Academy, Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Nashville Film Festival, Cumberland Valley Girl Scout Council, and T.J. Martell Foundation.
