“Innov865 Happy Hour” is tonight, join the journey

innov865-chalk-logoWith the “Innov865 Happy Hour” set for later today, I was struck by this description of a city that aspires to compete with Silicon Valley. As you read the description, consider what we have locally, what is missing, and how you can play a role filling the deficit. Your part of the journey can start tonight at Scruffy City Hall at 5:30 p.m.

Here’s the description: “We excel at collaboration and launching low cost start-ups, perhaps better than any other city of our size. We have resources of all kinds – public and private – to support the risk-takers and trailblazers. We have an incredibly vibrant food start-up community from new food trucks and restaurants to craft liquor distillers and cold brew coffee makers. You can’t throw a stone in — these days without hitting start-up professionals hard at work in coffee shops, tech accelerators and co-working spaces. We also have many of the things that startup professionals value: a vibrant downtown full of great restaurants, coffee shops, hiking and biking paths, water sports and watering holes . . .”

Can you identify the city? Click here for the answer.
