IACMI holding summer members’ meeting in its hometown

Three high-profile speakers have been announced for three-day event that begins June 20 at the Marriott Knoxville Downtown Hotel. 

The Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI) has announced three high-profile speakers for its annual summer members’ meeting set for June 20-22 in Knoxville.

They are:

  • Huijuan Dai, Next Generation Materials and Processes Program Manager at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), who will speak about the roles that composites can play in advancing DOE’s clean energy goals from an economic and national security perspective;
  • John Korsgaard, Senior Director of Engineering Excellence at LM Wind Power, who will focus on the challenges in manufacturing large wind blades; and
  • John Schweitzer, Vice President of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability at the American Composites Manufacturers Association, who will discuss the association’s Climate Impact Project which is designed to equip manufacturers of fiber-reinforced-polymer composite and cast polymer products with tools, education, and technical resources to provide their customers with important information about the climate impacts associated with the production of their products and raw materials.

The sessions will be held at the Marriott Knoxville Downtown Hotel.
