“Hack for the Community” benefits Middle Tennessee’s nonprofits

The event, scheduled for September 12 and 13, seeking applications and volunteers.

“Hack for the Community” is a two-day event that brings together local experts to create tech solutions that benefit Middle Tennessee’s nonprofits.

Launched in 2014, “H4tC” started as a project for the HCA Healthcare Information Technology Group and the HCA Foundation but has since grown into a community-wide initiative with Nashville’s biggest technology employers working collaboratively to solve community challenges.

Scheduled for September 12 and 13 at the Greater Nashville Technology Council’s facility, the hackathon is a unique opportunity for nonprofits to collaborate with talented teams of technologists to create innovative solutions to the former organization’s challenges.

To apply, simply click on this link and fill out the application form. Applicants are encouraged to provide detailed information about their organization, the challenge they are facing, and what they hope to achieve through “Hack for the Community.”

The Technology Council is also looking for volunteers to help. To make yourself available, click here.
