Green Llama launches give-back program to support foster care families in Tennessee
The eco-friendly cleaning supply company is growing from a Johnson City base, supplying dish soap, laundry, and dishwasher detergent solutions.
Green Llama has announced a new ongoing relationship with the Tennessee Alliance for Kids (TAK) to support children and families impacted by the state’s foster care system. As part of the partnership, founders Kay Baker and Dr. Matt Keasey said they are launching an initiative that will reduce the cost of cleaning supplies for foster parents. Part of that will come from a concentrated effort to raise funds from the eco-friendly cleaning supply company’s growing customer base.
As of late 2025, there are approximately 9,000 children in the Tennessee foster care system.
“At TAK, we bridge the gap between people who want to support the foster-care system and the vulnerable children who need help,” said Executive Director Fran Maynard. “Green Llama is another example of one of our Tennessee-based companies stepping up to help, and we’re grateful for their support.”
According to both organizations, at the heart of this partnership is a shared conviction that complex problems become solvable when people take action.
“As a Tennessee company, supporting our local communities is really important to us. That’s why partnering with TAK makes so much sense. They’ve spent years helping children and foster families through big life changes, and we’re grateful for the chance to be part of that work,” said Kay Baker, CEO of Green Llama.
Green Llama is also a Market Square Ventures portfolio company.
