Fundera report identifies top 15 cities for women entrepreneurs

What makes for a great city for women entrepreneurs?

A new study from Fundera that is based on on data pulled from the American Community Survey from the U.S. Census Bureau as well as the Tax Foundation has the answer, and the closest city in the Top 15 to East Tennessee is Durham, NC.

The introduction to the report reads as follows: “It’s a city where women have the means, opportunities, and support to start their own business. It’s a city where they are surrounded by other women entrepreneurs and where they earn the same as their male counterparts for the same work (which in much of the U.S. is still not a given). It’s also a place where women can hire from a community that champions them.”
