FLUIX competing this month at “Inventures 2023”

Over three days, more than 3,000 people from 60+ countries are expected to attend the program either in-person or virtually.

FLUIX Inc., a participant in the inaugural cohort of the “Techstars Industries of the Future Accelerator,” is one of 30 start-ups pitching at an event that begins at the end of this month in Calgary, a city in the Canadian province of Alberta.

The event is “Inventures 2023,” a multi-faceted innovation experience that describes itself as challenging “the status quo, bringing the world’s brightest minds and boldest ideas together for three extraordinary days of learning, sharing, and inspiration.” It includes more than 300 speakers as well as a pitch event.

Over the three days, more than 3,000 people from more than 60 countries are expected to attend, either in person or virtually.

A record 461 entries were received from start-ups around the world seeking the opportunity to pitch their companies. That was nearly twice as many as in 2022. The field has been narrowed to 30 finalists across six categories, each vying for cash, expert feedback, and investor connections.

FLUIX, which saves data centers and critical infrastructure on energy costs by automating cooling with the power of artificial intelligence (AI), is one of five competing in the “Computing Infinity” category, joining:

  • GlüxKind Technologies, developer of an AI-powered baby stroller;
  • Kunye Financial, a start-up that enables borderless collaboration, changing how people come together to manage money and achieve shared financial goals;
  • Metabob, a Generative AI tool that detects, explains, and fixes coding problems created by humans and AI; and
  • VerdeCode, a start-up that has tools to transform power management for the cloud, data centers, and enterprise computing.

The other categories in the competition are (1) The Metaverse; (2) Future of Work; (3) Ag/Food Tech; (4) Health Innovation; and (5) Clean Tech.
