ExOne Company expands R&D license with ORNL to full commercial use

After executing an R&D license for a manufacturing process developed by researchers at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 2019, a Pennsylvania-based has executed an expansion of the agreement for commercial use.

The company is ExOne, based in North Huntingdon, PA, a city a little more than 30 minutes southeast of Pittsburgh. It is a pioneer and global leader in binder jet 3D printing technology. The expanded license will allow to company to begin printing aluminum-infiltrated B4C collimators, shielding equipment, and other components used in neutron scattering research.
