ETSU Research Corporation launches StoryCollab

The innovative platform is dedicated to leveraging the power of first-person narrative.

The East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Research Corporation has launched StoryCollab, an innovative platform dedicated to leveraging the power of first-person narrative. This groundbreaking initiative aims to transform how organizations listen and connect to their audiences, using the compelling force of storytelling to drive impact and foster deeper engagement.

StoryCollab supports organizations by facilitating first-person stories to amplify everyday voices through digital stories, podcasts and story maps created in transformative processes with organizations and their storytellers. StoryCollab helps organizations build strategies to share authentic, community-generated media that educates, advocates, promotes well-being and builds leadership and community.

“Organizations can maximize impact by actively listening and ensuring that their stakeholders’ voices are not just heard but amplified. At StoryCollab, we believe people are the experts of their own lived experience, and by engaging with communities, listening, and elevating their narratives, organizations can create spaces where meaningful change happens,” said Allison Myers, Executive Director and Principal Story Facilitator at StoryCollab.

David Golden, Chief Executive Officer of the ETSU Research Corporation, echoed Myers’ sentiments, highlighting the synergistic potential of the collaboration and underscoring his organization’s role in pioneering innovative solutions.

“Under Allison’s leadership and wealth of global experience, the StoryCollab platform perfectly aligns with our mission, leveraging the timeless art of storytelling to address contemporary challenges. We know this initiative will have a profound effect on the organizations and communities that engage,” he said.
