David Cummings reminds us that “more start-ups die from indigestion than starvation”
It's all about where can you get the most impact the fastest.
In a recent column, David Cummings, Founder of Atlanta Tech Village and also Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Atlanta Ventures, wrote about a recent catch-up he had with some local entrepreneurs.
“They’ve cobbled together a solution using a mix of off-the-shelf technology, proprietary technology, and human-in-the-loop services. However, the leads coming in have been for a variety of different use cases and ideas,” he writes.
Cummings adds that it is a great problem to have. “Clearly, the market wants what they’re offering. But as entrepreneurs with limited resources, it’s critical to focus on the most acute pain in the market. There’s an old adage in start-up land: more start-ups die from indigestion than starvation.”
He poses a question, then provides the answer. The question was: “Wow do you figure out where to focus when you’ve found an unmet need in the market?” His answer can be found here.
