Companies announced for Knoxville Entrepreneur Center’s ‘Raising & Rising’ event
The Knoxville Entrepreneur Center (KEC) and presenting sponsor CGI, one of the largest independent information technology and business consulting services firms in the world, have announced the seven companies that will participate in this year’s “Raising & Rising” event.
Part of Innov865 Week that begins Friday and continues through September 23, the 90-minute session beginning at 12 noon EDT on September 21 brings together investors, industry experts, and local Knoxville companies that are either on the rise, or looking to raise some capital, all under the same roof.
The seven companies are (1) Busicard; (2) Trucking Kit; (3) QLock Tech; (4) Mindpass; (5) Ultrasonic Technology Solutions; (6) NellOne Therapeutics; and (7) Green Llama.

Immediately after the event, CGI and KEC will premiere its newest technology, CGI Convenu™, and discuss its partnership with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville around the future of secure digital asset sharing. The session, titled ‘Blockchain to Save the Day! How To Trust Data Again,’ will be led by CGI’s Gary S. Jackson, Director and Consulting Expert, Data Science.
