Cleveland Clinic names first-ever Executive Director of its innovation group

Although it was founded in 2000, it appears that Cleveland Clinic Innovations (CCI), the health system’s commercial arm, has not had an Executive Director. That is changing with the appointment of Geoffrey (Geoff) Vince, one of the Cleveland Clinic’s leading biomedical thinkers.

According to this announcement, Vince is charged with capitalizing on major clinical and technological advances to build strategic alliances and drive revenue growth through commercialization of intellectual property. During more than two decades, CCI has helped launch more than 80 startup companies whose products were developed through leading-edge medical and technology research and tested by clinicians there.
