CincyTech has first close on $100 million fund

The seed stage investor has also reportedly lowered the minimum investment it will accept from outside investors to $100,000 from an initial $250,000.

Cincy Inno reports that CincyTech, which is widely considered to be one of the most active seed funds in the Midwest, has had its first close at $12.3 million on its Fund VI which has a goal of $100 million.

The online news site also reports that CincyTech has lowered the minimum investment it will accept from outside investors to $100,000 from an initial $250,000. It lists 31 active investments in its portfolio.

CincyTech is supported by Ohio Third Frontier, more than two dozen grantors and investors, foundations, corporations, municipalities, and individuals as well as three founding partners: Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, University of Cincinnati, and Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.
