“China Importing 101” workshop set for June 2 in Chattanooga
China is Tennessee’s number one source for imports, a fact that enables many Tennessee companies to manufacture competitively priced final products here for sale in domestic markets as well as for export.
With that reality, the Tennessee Small Business Development Center and TN-China Network will jointly host a seminar on “China Importing 101” from 8:30 to 10:45 a.m. June 2 at the INCubator, 100 Cherokee Boulevard in Chattanooga. The cost to attend is $15 (includes continental breakfast).
“This event will provide manufacturers, start-ups, and other importers with the basics they need to know to successfully import from China, including guidance on identifying a supplier, key customs and shipping considerations, tips on minimizing risks, and real life sourcing experiences from a local Chattanooga manufacturer,” says Elizabeth Rowland, Executive Director of TN-China Network.
