This new, innovative casting process could save nuclear power plant companies a lot of money when compared to traditional construction methods.

It will now be known as the Tennessee Nuclear Network (TN2), the state’s official partnership aimed at advancing nuclear innovation, workforce development, and economic growth.

About 1,000 registered for the two-day Nuclear Opportunities Workshop, besting last year’s attendance by nearly 400 people.

Ticket sales are now open for the annual Summit, hosted by the Knoxville Chamber.

The goal is to strengthen and diversify the U.S. metal manufacturing workforce, focusing on casting, forging, and plate rolling.

Instead, they are considering appropriating the long-standing program a total of $175 million in 2026.
