Bunker Labs to honor Randy Boyd at next “Bunker Brews” on January 18

Bunker Labs Knoxville has announced that the organization will present its “Entrepreneurial Innovation Award” to Randy Boyd, Founder of Radio Systems Corporation and Interim President of the University of Tennessee.

The recognition will occur on Friday, January 18, during a “Bunker Brews” meet-up at, where else but Boyd’s Jig & Reel, 101 South Central Street. The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. To register, click here.

Radio Systems is a Knoxville-based business with more than 700 employees, offices in six countries and the brands PetSafe, Invisible Fence and SportDOG. Boyd, a former Tennessee Commissioner of Economic and Community Development, serves as Chair of both Radio Systems and Boyd Sports and is the owner of the Tennessee Smokies and Johnson City Cardinals and the manager of the Greeneville Reds. He has been a strong supporter of the Bunker Labs program.

The “Bunker Brews” monthly sessions allow veterans, military spouses, and civilians to come together to network with subject matter experts, investors, thought leaders, and others in an environment focused on growth and development.

According to the announcement, the meet-up would be beneficial to those interested in: (1) meeting more like-minded, action-oriented entrepreneurs in a fun, casual setting; (2) getting involved in the local entrepreneur community; and (3) learning more about companies being created by veterans in our community.
