Blühen Botanicals opens retail store in Knoxville’s Old City

As noted in this post from earlier in the week, Blühen Botanicals, a Knoxville-based hemp cannabidiol (CBD) company, held a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday to officially open its first retail wellness location in conjunction with the company’s presenting sponsorship of the annual “Rhythm N’ Blooms” music festival. The event also marked the opening of the start-up’s online sales.

The opening of the 4,086 square foot retail store at 111 East Jackson Avenue in Knoxville’s Old City drew a good crowd of company employees and others interested in the rapidly-growing company co-founded less than a year ago by Joe Fox. This sign on the window captures the essence of the start-up located in a building slightly east and across the street from Barley’s Tap Room.

In the photo to the left, Joe Fox (center wearing sunglasses) cuts the ceremonial ribbon officially opening the retail location that includes full spectrum hemp extract oil, softgels, premium hemp flower, pre-rolls, hemp vaporizers, and oil. The flagship location will also offer a lounge, community meeting and event space, and a café featuring hemp seed-infused food and beverages. He is flanked by Blühen Botanicals employees.

Beginning Monday, we feature the 34-year old Fox’s entrepreneurial journey in a multi-part series on teknovation.biz.
