
Baker School schedules second annual Southeast Energy Policy Forum
The event will be held August 14 and 15. Early-bird registration underway.
The second annual Southeast Energy Policy Forum, hosted by the Center for Energy, Transportation and Environmental Policy housed at the Howard H. Baker Jr. School of Public Policy and Public Affairs, is scheduled for August 14 and 15 at the Baker School.
Starting at 12 noon EDT on the first day and concluding at 5 p.m. on August 15, the Forum will provide educational content and networking opportunities for private and public sector leaders as they navigate new energy markets, decarbonization trends, demand-side technologies, and transportation electrification.
Among those already announced as speakers are:
- Daniel Poneman, former Deputy Secretary of the Department of Energy (DOE);
- Misty Mayes, President and Founder of Management Solutions LLC, a Knoxville-based company that was awarded a five-year, $192 million support services contract by DOE (see 2023 teknovation.biz article here); and
- Michael Walton, General Manager of Energy Transition Finance LLC, a Chattanooga-based strategic advisory firm committed to accelerating the deployment of clean energy technologies.
