Healthstar Physicians tops out new Morristown facility, bringing expert care closer to home
The ceremony marked the placement of the final structural beam for the 79,166-square-foot healthcare facility.
Healthstar Physicians, P.C., Realty Trust Group (RTG) and The Christman Company recently celebrated a topping out ceremony for its new nearly 80,000-square-foot medical office building on Morristown’s west end.
One-stop care for the region
Slated for completion in spring 2027, the facility will bring together Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Endocrinology, Orthopedics, Physical Medicine and Podiatry under one roof, along with laboratory and imaging services.
For residents of surrounding rural counties, the project means specialty care closer to home and fewer long drives to bigger hubs like Knoxville or Johnson City.
“The topping out ceremony marks an exciting milestone for this project and the Morristown community,” said Mickey Brabson, CEO of Healthstar. “This new facility will allow us to expand access to care and create a modern environment where our physicians can collaborate and better serve our patients.”
The team behind it
Healthstar and RTG began planning the project in 2024 and broke ground in October 2025. RTG is serving as master developer, project manager and property manager on the project.
“The topping out ceremony represents an important step forward for the project and reflects the collaboration of an outstanding team,” said Michael Honeycutt, RTG’s executive vice president. “RTG is proud to support Healthstar in bringing this facility to life and helping expand access to healthcare services for the Morristown community.”
With the site being surrounded by newly constructed healthcare facilities, retail, restaurants, hotels and even a little extra room to grow Healthstar’s footprint, Morristown is creating its own business corridor.
