Knoxville-based TitanX raises $27 million series A to scale its proprietary sales call scoring model

The company was founded in 2024 and has grown to 300+ customers through word of mouth alone.

On Tuesday, TitanX announced the closure of its $27 million Series A funding round, led by Updata Partners, a D.C.-based firm.

The Knoxville-based company addresses one of outbound sales’ most stubborn and costly problems: the vast majority of calls go unanswered. The company was founded in 2024 and has grown to 300+ customers through word of mouth alone.

TitanX’s proprietary Phone Intent™ scoring model predicts call pickup likelihood, helping sales teams focus efforts where live conversations are most likely to occur.

According to TitanX, Customers regularly see connect rates exceeding 25 percent, allowing teams to drive more conversations, expand the pipeline, and close more deals without increasing headcount or replacing existing sales infrastructure.

The funding comes after a period of rapid growth for TitanX. The company has recorded more than 250 percent year-over-year revenue growth and continues to see strong adoption among mid-market and enterprise sales organizations. Since its launch, the company has established an early leadership position in the emerging Phone Intent™ category.

“We’ve spent the last 19 months executing with near-perfect discipline on a vision to transform go-to-market,” said Joey Gilkey, Founder and CEO of TitanX. “This wasn’t about raising capital; it was about choosing the right partner. Updata shares our conviction that TitanX doesn’t chase market parity. We define the standard for modern revenue execution.”

Proceeds from the Series A round will be used to advance TitanX’s scoring technology, expand integrations throughout outbound sales workflows, introduce additional products tailored to phone-centric revenue teams, and pursue strategic mergers and acquisitions.

“Creating a new category is rare – and even harder in a market where outbound teams are under real pressure,” said Braden Snyder, General Partner at Updata Partners. “We have been impressed by TitanX’s ability to build the Phone Intent™ category as a bootstrapped company executing at an exceptional level. As volume-based outbound becomes less effective, TitanX has purpose-built a software and data platform that addresses the core inefficiencies in outbound sales. We believe TitanX is positioned to become foundational to modern outbound execution.”

As revenue teams are increasingly asked to do more with fewer resources, TitanX said it aims to become the intelligence layer that powers more effective outbound sales.
