121 Tennessee companies make it onto the Inc. 5000 list
The annual Inc. Magazine list recognizes the list of the 5,000 fastest growing companies in the United States.
Out of 5,000 companies, 121 from Tennessee made the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in the United States.
Some of the companies have been on the list for a decade, and others are just making the list for the first time. Inc Magazine reported that the 5,000 companies had a median growth rate of 169 percent, which is pretty substantial when talking about revenue in the millions and billions.
So let’s break down the state of Tennessee and see where most of the fast-growing companies are concentrated.
Nashville MSA
Nashville and its surrounding suburbs topped the list, no surprise. 29 of the country’s fastest growing companies are based out of the City of Nashville, 15 are in Brentwood, and 19 are in Franklin.
Perhaps the most impressive of Tennessee’s companies on the list is Monogram Health, which saw a three-year growth rate of 14,131 percent. Even with that insane rate of growth, the company dropped four points from being ranked the third-fastest growing company in the country in 2024.
The middle-Tennessee company was founded by Michael Uchrin in 2019. It employs a robust clinical team, leveraging specialists across multiple disciplines, including nephrology, cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, behavioral health, and palliative care, to diagnose and treat health issues; review and prescribe medication; and provide guidance, education, and counseling.
Monogram Health’s personalized and innovative treatment model is proven to dramatically improve patient outcomes and quality of life while reducing medical costs across the health care continuum.
Another Nashville-based company that made it onto the Inc. 5000 list was DailyCrunch, which was co-founded by Laurel Orley. The company launched in 2020, during the heart of the pandemic, and has quickly grown its sprouted nut snacks into one of the most popular on the market.
In the last three years, Daily Crunch has seen a three-year growth rate of 431 percent. It was also one of the first companies to receive investment from the Knoxville-based Market Square Ventures investment firm.
Knoxville MSA
12 companies from Knoxville made the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies, including a couple of new ones.
Notably, RocketCert was the fastest-growing company in the city, ranking 1,144 on the list with a three-year growth rate of 380 percent. The company provides a comprehensive platform for obtaining and maintaining professional licenses, focusing on personalized learning experiences and exceptional customer service.
Tom Dorsey, Jr. founded it in 2020, and currently has more than a dozen people on his team.
A few of the other newly-named companies include Skilled Services, RTech Solutions, and Garza Law Firm.
A couple of other Knoxville-based companies that have repeatedly made the list include Tommy Nguyen’s Storage Pug, which has been on the list since 2022. Axle Logistics, Avero Advisors, and FourSeasons all made the list again.
These companies will be honored at the annual Growth & Grit event, hosted by the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center (KEC), which celebrates the area’s fastest-growing corporations.
Chattanooga MSA
Tidalwave Holdings ranked in the top 50 fastest growing companies on the Inc. 5000 list, coming in at 37, with a 6,436 percent three-year growth rate.
Tidalwave provides high-quality screen printing tailored to businesses and groups of all sizes. They handle everything—from design assistance to sourcing garments (including brands like Comfort Colors, Bella + Canvas, Next Level, etc.) and printing flexible quantities, from as few as 50 up to 100,000 items.
It was the fastest-growing company in the Business Products and Services category, and the second fastest-growing company in the state of Tennessee.
The company was founded by Matt Schroeder & Bradley Sewell in 2021.
Some other companies that made the list include Firecrown, founded by Craig Fuller, which ranked 75. As well as WYRE Technology, Big Sky Landscapes, Bullins, and MOCA Logistics.
