Startup Mountain Summit announces another featured speaker

Katie Trauth Taylor is a two-time entrepreneur and a fourth-generation Appalachian.

Cincinnati-based Katie Trauth Taylor has been added to the speaker line-up for the Startup Mountain Summit that will be held over three days in early November in Johnson City.

She founded Untold, a storytelling firm that’s worked with NASA, Hershey, and the United Nations, and is now leading her second venture, Narratize, an artificial intelligence-powered writing platform helping teams turn big ideas into action.

Taylor earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Thomas More University, her Master’s in English and Comparative Literature from the University of Cincinnati, and her Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition from Purdue University.

As a fourth-generation Appalachian, she has never separated her roots from her work. She even wove her heritage directly into her academic journey, writing her dissertation on how Urban Appalachians craft identity through organizations like the Urban Appalachian Community Coalition.

The event is scheduled for November 6-8 at East Tennessee State University’s Brinkley Center. To purchase tickets, click here.
