Carolina Angel Network names long-time faculty member as its Executive Director
The Carolina Angel Network, described as one of the largest angel investor networks in the country with more than 400 members, has hired a long-time University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) faculty member as its Executive Director.
Ted Zoller, T.W. Lewis Distinguished Clinical Scholar of Entrepreneurship in the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, assumes the leadership role for the network that provides investment opportunities and mentorship to start-ups connected to the university.
According to this article from WRAL TechWire, Zoller served as Director of the business school’s Entrepreneurship Center for 15 years and is an active practicing entrepreneur and angel investor. During that period, he helped create programs such as the Startup-UNC venture development program, Launch Chapel Hill accelerator, Blackstone Entrepreneurship Network, Adams Apprenticeship, and BLUE, an entrepreneurship community embedded within an on-campus residence hall and makerspace.
Zoller will continue to teach several courses.
