Battelle adds eighth national lab to its management portfolio

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has awarded a $3.8 billion contract to manage the Savannah River National Laboratory to a team led by Battelle.

Battelle Savannah River Alliance (BRSA) is wholly-owned by the Columbus, OH-based organization. Named partners are five universities from the region – Clemson, Georgia Tech, South Carolina State, University of Georgia, and University of South Carolina – as well as small business partners, Longenecker & Associates and TechSource.

Battelle currently has a management role at seven DOE national labs including Pacific Northwest, Brookhaven, Oak Ridge, National Renewable Energy Lab, Idaho, Los Alamos, and Lawrence Livermore.
