NuSirt announces $6 million Series C funding round
Good news for NuSirt Biopharma, Inc., a company founded by Knoxvillian Michael Zemel. Now headquartered in Nashville with Zemel still based in Knoxville at the Fairview Technology Center, NuSirt announced yesterday that it has raised a $6 million Series C round of investment capital with $2 million funded.
According to the release, Hatteras Venture Partners was joined by existing stockholders that include Mountain Group Partners and TriStar Technology Ventures.
NuSirt is focused on improving the lives of those with chronic metabolic diseases such as diabetes.
